7 weeks

Here are some pics of Lincoln at almost 7 weeks. He can hold up his head and chest when he is lying on his stomach for a bit. He is starting to get on a sleeping schedule. He goes to bed at 8:30 and get up at 2:30 and 5:30. I am so happy with that. It is better than every 2 hours.

6 weeks

Some excited stuff happened this week. Lincoln slept though the night for the first time. He went to bed at 11:00 and did not wake up until 5:35. It was great but I knew it wouldn't last and I was right. But, it was nice to get 1 night of sleep. Lincoln is also smiling and laughing. It is so funny to hear him get excited. He gets so happy when Rob gets home from work. He always gives him a big smile. He hasn't smiled at me yet, but, someone told me he smiles at Rob because I am smiling and happy to see him. Right now he is in his crib cooing and laughing at his mobile. Also, this week Rob had a toy and Lincoln was trying hitting it with his hand. He would get so excited when he hit it. It is so much fun watching him discover new things. And to think this is only the beginning.

Red Wings

I am no longer a Red Wings virgin!! I went to my first game on Sunday and it was so much fun. For those of you who don't know Robs new hobby is hockey. He starting playing last fall and loves it. He is actually getting good(don't tell him I said so). I bought us playoff tickets 1. because he loves it and 2I enjoyed getting out of the house. It was my second time away from Lincoln. I did miss him but it was nice to get away. The Red Wings did win 5-2. They were playing the Blackhawks of Chicago in Game 1. I see us going to more games in the future.

I was so nervous giving Lincoln his first bath in the bath tub. I was wondering how he would do if he would scream, cry, or love it. Lucky for me he loved it. Bath time has now become a way for me to calm him down at night. We are actually starting to get a routine!

Learning to Blog

Well I am going to attempt to try to blog. I have no clue what I am doing or how to do it. I don't even know how to put pictures onto my computer. I have a long way to go. Lincoln is 5 weeks. People told me babies sleep. Well not mine. He sleeps maybe 4-5 hours out of 24! We are working on that ( I need some sleep). Other than that he is a good baby. He loves to be held, hates to be swaddled. I never realized how busy I would be with a baby. I look up at the clock during the day and it is already 4:00 and I wonder where my day went. Rob is great with Lincoln. He comes home from work and will change his diaper or burp him all night long. I love watching them together. I came home the other night and found my two men watching the red wings game together. Rob was watching the game and Lincoln was staring at the TV not blinking. I think it would be the colors, fast motion, and sound. I can't believe how fast he is growing!!
