24 weeks

How far along: 24 weeks
How big is baby: about a foot long
Total weight gain: I am up 6lbs.
Maternity clothes: I bought my first pair of maternity capris and they are comfortable!
Sleep: Not sleeping well. Oh well maybe next year.
Best moment of the week: Lincoln feeling the baby move! He loved it.
Food cravings: When I don't know what to eat I go with Mexican. And Candy
Food aversions: Green beans and broccoli. Still can't even think about eating them.
Symptoms: TIRED, occasional nausea still.
Movement: The baby's feet are on my bladder. The baby has also stated doing flips. I love this feeling.
What I’m looking forward to: Being off lovenox shots!
What I miss: Working out

Next appt. Juney 12 with both the hematologist and OB
I am very nervous about labor. I can't have an epidural or spinal as of right know. My OB goes on vacation the last week of September. He told me that he will deliver this baby before he goes on vacation. If I don't go into labor on my own I will be having a c-section (don't want this). I do want him to be the one to deliver this baby. I will find out more at my next appt.

Unexpected visit to the Hospital

For about a week I had been having problems breathing.  I just thought it was my asthma flaring up. I went on all my allergy meds and asthma meds even a steriod.  Saturday night I was up all night and could not breath. I couldn't lie flat and was a little scared. I called the Dr. Albertson and he said he was thinking about me that morning and thinks I have a blood clot. I needed to go to ER and be checked out. I wasn't really that worried. I had not signs of having a blood clot.  It was a typical ER visit. Lots of tests and waiting. When I went for my ultrasound the first leg checked out ok but, halfway though the second leg she found a blood clot. A little further down she found another one. I was SHOCKED, to say the least. I started crying. I had been walking around with a pulmonary embolism in my lung for I don't know how long.  When a blood clot travels it can go to your lung, brain, or heart. The "lung" is the best place that it can go to.
After they found that I knew I had bought myself a stay at the hospital. I finally got up to my room that afternoon and only one dr. came and saw me. Dr. Albertson came up and got things rolling. My blood thinners got started and he made me feel a little better. He also made me cry.  He said he was thinking of me this morning and that it was divine intervention. That I didn't need to thank he but God. I just love him. He truely saved my life.
I had to stay in the hospital until tuesday afternoon. It was so nice to come home. I am feeling a little better everyday.  I have to be on blood thinner shots until 6 weeks after the baby is born. I am now a high risk pregnancy and can't go more than 30 minutes away from home.  I don't know how long I am off work. I am hoping to go back in June.  It has also changed my birthing plans. I can't get an epidural due to the blood thinners. Even if I have to be induced I am having a natural childbirth (please help me). 
On a positive note the baby looks good. I had another ultrasound and it was a relief to see that baby doing well. The ladies I work with are amazing. I could not ask for better co-workers.  They have been so supportive and understanding.
To add to all this Rob got laid off on friday. It is nice that he is able to be home right know with Lincoln and I but he is going to have to leave for work next week or the following.  I know he is a little scared about leaving me but I have a very supportive family. 
Blood clots can occur in 1% of all pregnancy's.

Halfway.


Half way!

How far along: 20 weeks
How big is baby: size of a banana
Total weight gain: -2 lbs. That will change soon. I am finally starting to eat
Maternity clothes: I still look frumpy and not pregnant. I am wearing some maternity shirts but I can still button my jeans just fine.
Sleep: I have been having sharp pains near my hips called round ligament pain. I cannot get comfortable at night.
Best moment of the week: I had my ultrasound. Everything looks great with the baby.
Food cravings: When I don't know what to eat I go with Mexican.
Food aversions: Green beans and broccoli. Still can't even think about eating them.
Symptoms: Tired, occasional nausea still.
Movement: I think I might be feeling flutters.
What I’m looking forward to: Looking pregnant and not frumpy.
What I miss: Working out. I am still to tired to go to the gym.

15 weeks

How far along: 15 weeks, measuring at 16 weeks.
How big is baby:
Total weight gain: -4 lbs. I'm still a little puzzled.
Maternity clothes: Getting closer
Sleep: Trying to sleep as much as possible.  Rob has been amazing at letting me nap.
Best moment of the week: Rob cooking dinner ever night. He loves to cook and does an amazing job at it.  I wish we would have known this 6 years ago. I now make dinner 1 night a week is all.
Food cravings: Nothing still sounds all that good.  I am eating 2 meals a day.
Food aversions: Green beans and broccoli. Still can't even think about eating them.
Symptoms: Tired and nauseated, a little cranky and emotional.  I feel like a basketcase some days
Movement: I think I might be feeling flutters. 
What I’m looking forward to: Ultrasound on April 18
What I miss: Working out. I was just starting to feel confident in my body and now it is all going to go down hill. I have been to tired to go to the gym. Still the same
Heartrate: 159

I cannot say enough good things about my husband. He has been amazing. Cooking, cleaning and taking care of lincoln. I am so impressed.

Baby 2 and Mom

How far along: 10 weeks
How big is baby:  the size of a kumquat
Total weight gain: -4.5 lbs. I have no clue how that happened.

Maternity clothes: Not yet but soon.

Sleep: I am finally sleeping a little better. No longer getting up 3 times a night to pee.
Best moment of the week: Coming home to Lincoln after being gone for 9 days. I got the biggest hug ever!
Food cravings: Nothing sounds good. I have been very dizzy and nauseated.  I have found a protein shake in the morning is the only food I can keep down.
Food aversions: Lettace

Symptoms: Motion sickness and nausea. I had neither with Lincoln. TIRED!!
Movement: Can't wait.
What I’m looking forward to: Lincoln being able to feel the baby move
What I miss: Working out. I was just starting to feel confident in my body and now it is all going to go down hill. I have been to tired to go to the gym.
