10 things I am thankful for this week.

I read on someone's blog that they were going to post 10 things that they were thankful for every week. I am going to also try to do this.  We will see how it goes.

1. Getting a new job in PACU.
2. Running outside with my sister.
3. Getting to have surgery quickly so I don't have to worry. (hopefully they can figure out what is wrong)
4. Lincoln feeling better.
5. Naptime.
6. Rob giving me more time to go to the gym and not complaining.
7. Having an amazing flexible job
8.  My sister who always helps me out if I need a babysitter
9. For not crying when 2 cleaning bottles with bleach that I just bought from meijers broke in my car and stained my favorite sweatshirt, car and pants.  Even though I wanted to cry.
10. Getting back into going to chruch. 2 weeks in a row!

Hi there! I saw your blog via the 500 challenge - and I wanted to comment 2 post ago - but never got around to it - it was about your "Lent" post and now this one!

I thin that writing 10 things you are thankful for every week is a WONDERFUL idea and I think I'm going to incorporate it into my blog! Thank you for sharing the idea!

Second - I know you don't know me - but I really give you kuddos for all that you listed (I'm a super runner, so #2 is awesome) but also for #10. I think that #10 will definitely help you with all those great things on your list - but I do wish you well with your surgery and with your family and trying to attend church. You can't force anyone (for sure) but especially with children - you have to think about how much IS forced for them throughout their lives - they can't really KNOW something (like the idea of faith) until you open their minds and let them experience it first hand. How will they know what it is, unless you take them a few times? I know that I was forced to go to church as a child - but, man - I was forced to do EVERYTHING when I was a kid :) If I wasn't, I don't think I'd ever have went to school - or read a book! Or known what church was (or different churches, too). I took a break from my faith for awhile (a good while) a few years ago - but something just clicked for me (recently) and I've been going every Sunday now, too - and I don't even think about it. It's just where I need to be! The first Sunday back - I had Mass with the elementary school kids - there is nothing like seeing young faces like that - try to understand something so beyond us all - but they sure do like to sing :) Which - to me - them just being there, in that presence - at their age - is enough, you know?

You and your family are in my prayers - and I pray that your husband will find his way to where he needs to be, too. Keep up your faith - and the rest will fall into place!

Take care,
Katrina
